MERMAIDS // A grad school project in which we were asked to chose a subject and layout three books using primarily type, primarily images, and a combination of the two. ‘Mermaids of the World’ combines type and images to tell the story of mermaid legends across the globe. ‘Mermaids in Art’ uses images to showcase how mermaids have been represented in art from the early 1500s to the present. ‘Mermaids: Poetry and Folklore’ utilizes mainly type to explore the presence of mermaids in literature.
